Realme U1 hits 2,500 offline stores across 30 cities in India

“The Realme U1 smartphone is being introduced in offline channels with claimed benefits of up to Rs 5,750, which includes 4.2TB of 4G data from Reliance Jio”

Realme has introduced its mid-range smartphone, the Realme U1 (review), in offline channels in the country. From now onwards, the Realme U1 is being made available across 2,500 stores spread over 30 cities in India, with prices remaining the same as in the online stores. The company has also stated a ‘special offer’, which provides users with “benefits worth Rs 5,750, up to 4.2GB of Jio 4G data” in a bid to appeal to the young buyers in offline-dominated markets.

The move comes after Realme announced its foray into the offline retail channels in India. At the start of the year, the brand stated that it will be introducing its devices to 150 cities in 2019. The move started with 10 targeted cities in January, and the company aims to keep adding stores in 50 cities every quarter, taking the count up to 150 cities and over 20,000 offline retail stores by the end of the year. At the time of introducing the Realme U1, the company claimed it will be available across 2,500 stores in 30 cities, which will expand to 100 cities by March itself.
